AI Shopfloor Management in Practice: Arctory at Venti Oelde
In January 2026, we showed AI shopfloor management live on Venti Oelde's production floor at the NIRO network meeting, plus a live hackathon. A recap.

Venti Oelde is one of our customers and has been running its own digital shopfloor management for several months. How the team went about it is shown in the trade magazine IT&Production: within three months, Venti built two applications on its own (Arctory in IT&Production: How Venti Oelde Digitalizes Its Own Shop Floor). On 29 January 2026, at a meeting of the Netzwerk Industrie RuhrOst (NIRO), a regional industry network, we took the chance to show the solution on site, right where it's used every day.
Venti Oelde uses its shopfloor management every day
At several stations on the production floor, large screens show the Arctory board that frames the daily shopfloor meeting. SQDCP boards, PDCA tickets, automatic escalations and analytics dashboards make deviations visible. They make sure open items don't vanish by the next meeting, but are followed through consistently.
What this means for Venti Oelde in practice: less information lost, more traceability, faster reaction to problems straight from production. And all of it without depending on outside developers or long customization cycles, because boards and processes can be changed in plain language.
Live hackathon: a shopfloor management built in minutes
The part of the afternoon that made the strongest impression: we ran a hackathon with the participants and built our own shopfloor management together, live, in a few minutes, without a line of code.
Requirements were typed straight in, and the system built them. A stopwatch for the daily meeting? One prompt, done. The reactions in the room summed it up (translated from German):
"Then we can help ourselves, without depending on IT."
"Type in your own ideas, add a stopwatch, done. Wow."
That's exactly the value of AI on the shopfloor. Not another tool introduced from the top and then used half-heartedly, but an AI that lets employees build and adapt their own processes directly, without developers, without tickets, without waiting.
What AI shopfloor management changes in practice
Most participants wanted to test the solution themselves after the afternoon. Not because we presented it convincingly, but because they experienced live what it means to type in a requirement and see it built in seconds.
Thank you to the NIRO network and to Venti Oelde for the open look into production and for working together that afternoon.
